What happens in a session?
Every kinesiology session is unique, just as every person is unique. Your session begins with a conversation about what you would like support with, whether that relates to emotional wellbeing, stress, physical discomfort, energy, relationships, confidence, performance or simply feeling more balanced within yourself.
Each session is conducted by taking your shoes off and it is recommended to wear something comfortable.
Kinesiology starts with using your brachioradialis muscle for gentle muscle monitoring as a form of biofeedback to explore how your body is responding to different forms of stress. This can help bring awareness to patterns of physical, emotional, mental or energetic stress that may be influencing how you feel and function.
I will need to touch various areas around the body, from your face to your feet and will talk through this in your first session so that you know what to expect.
During your session, I work with your body's natural feedback system to identify areas where you may benefit from support and balance. Depending on what your body indicates, a range of gentle kinesiology techniques may be used, including acupressure point touch and stimulation, stimulation to the neurovascular and neurolymphatic points, energy balancing techniques, movement of limbs, breathing techniques, sound and flower essences.
Kinesiology does not require you to do much talking however all is welcome. If you are not big on conversation or just do not want to get into discussions that can be sensitive this is a wonderful modality to take the opportunity to relax and let the body speak for you as I uncover what is ready to release. Anything that comes up in my clinic room is strictly private and confidential.
The intention is to create a safe and supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself and allow your body and mind an opportunity to restore a greater sense of balance and wellbeing.
No two sessions are the same. Your session is tailored specifically to you, your current needs and the goals you would like to work towards.
